Approximately 1.25 metres high. Triangular on plan with round-arched top,
Raised inscription painted black against white background: YORK / 9¾ MILES /
TADCASTER / ¼ MILE (on west face), DONCASTER / 27 MILES / P0NTERFRACT /
14¾ MILES / FERRY BRIDGE / 12 MILES (on east face), TADCASTER & DONCASTER /
ROAD / TADCASTER WEST (around head).
