White Horse)

Inn, now also offices. C18 with earlier origins and late C20 additions to
rear and restoration to lower part of first 3 bays and rebuilding to right
3 bays. Some timber framing, magnesian limestone ashlar, pinkish-orange
brick and pantile roof. 3 storeys, 6 bays. C20 entrance in pilastered
surround under hood to fifth bay. Carriage arch to third bay. bays 4 and
6 are full height canted bays. mainly 12- and 16-pane sashes. Moulded
cornice. Roof hipped to left. Ridge stacks. Remains of timber-framed
arcade under carriage arch. Interior has some further remains of timber
framing.
