3/21 East wall of walled
garden to west of
Orangery

GV II
Wall. Mid C19. Sandstone with ashlar and marble dressings. Plinth.
Off- centre monumental gateway with C20 panelled gate between paired
pilasters and beneath round arch with ram's head keystone. Frieze decorated
with animals and dentil cornice surmounted by segmental pedimented plaque
with flanking volutes between finials. Further end entrance in plain ashlar
surround. 4 niches with Ionic pilasters and keyed archivolts. Coping.
