House. T C 1655 above door, with later additions and alterations.
Magnesian limestone with Cumberland slate roof. 3-cell lobby-entry plan.
2 storeys, 6 bays. Quoins. Entrance in fourth bay: 5-long-panel door under
4-centred arch with chamfered jambs. Further (blocked) C18 entrance in
second bay a 6-long-panel door in plain architrave with chamfered jambs
under hood. Three 4- and one 2-light mullion double-chamfered mullion
windows, and a 2-light C20 reconstruction. Window to left under separate
hoodmould, those to right 4 bays (and door) under continuous hood mould.
First floor: above doors are single lights, that to second bay a C20
reconstruction, that to fourth bay in single-chamfered surround. The rest
are 2-, 3- and 4- light double chamfered mullion windows under hoodmoulds
that to fifth bay a C20 reconstruction. Ashlar coping. To left gable a
blocked 4-centred doorway. Further similar mullion windows throughout.
Interior: chamfered beams and exposed joists to most rooms.
