4/48 Lodge to Monk Fryston
Lodge. Mid-late C19. Sandstone ashlar with magnesian limestone ashlar
dressings and stone slate roof. L-shaped on plan. Jacobethan. 2 storeys,
single bay gable ends. Plinth. Quoins. Ashlar porch at angle has fluted
pillars supporting a round arch with keystone under cornice and low parapet
containing a 6-panel door. Gable ends have a 3-light mullion and transom
bay window, that to left under segmental arch with keystone supported by
fluted pilasters, cornice and low parapet. First floor: a 3-light mullion
window in ashlar surround under relieving arch to each wing. Otherwise
single light windows in ashlar surrounds. Ashlar kneelers surmounted by
vase finials, ashlar coping, remains of finials at apex. Rear and side
