House. c1844. By Edward Blore for Rev Joseph Donnington Jefferson. Pinkish-
orange brick with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. L-shaped on plan with
range to rear. Single storey, 2-bay range with 2-storey, single gabled bay range
at angle. Plinth. Quoins. Central entrance a part-glazed door within porch with
Tudor arch under hoodmoulded and quoined jambs. Porch has ashlar quoins, kneelers,
coping and finial. To left a 3-light mullion and transom window with quoined jambs
and under hoodmould. Modillion eaves cornice. To right range: canted bay with
mullion and transom casement windows. Above a 2-light mullion window in double-
chamfered surround with unequally-hung 3-pane sashes and with quoined jambs.
Ashlar kneelers, coping and finial to gable. Pairs of diamond-shaped ridge stacks.
