6/56 Folly approximately 80 metres
to north-east OF Hazlewood
Castle

Folly. Mid - late C18 with later alterations. Probably by John Carr.
Dressed magnesian limestone with ashlar dressings, no roof. Octagonal on
plan. Plinth. 2 entrances, one with trefoil head now blocked, the other
straight-headed, a later insertion. Continuous sill band. Other sides have
blocked, trefoil-headed windows with blind oculi above. Cornice.
Battlements. Formerly part of Hazlewood Castle Estate .
