2/32 Smithy

Smithy. Mid C19. Coursed, squared stone. Pantile roof. Brick stacks.
2-cell smithy and stable. Single storey. Boarded stable door to left,
with smithy entrance and window to right. To rear, boarded door to
stable with 12-pane sash to left. Plain lintels to all openings. Coped
gable wall to right. One end, and one left of centre stack. To
interior: equipment installed by the owner's grandfather still in use,
including 2 furnaces, each with hand-operated bellows and 2 anvils and
2 water troughs.
