House. Late C18, with late C19 additions. Hammer-dressed sandstone front.
Brick rear. Pantile roof. Brick stacks. Central stairhall, 1 room
deep, with later longitudinal passage and service rooms to rear.
Symmetrical 2-storey and attic, 3-window front. Stone steps to central
4-panelled door under radial fanlight in architrave with open pediment
on brackets. Tripartite sashes with glazing bars on each side, 12-pane
sash to centre of first floor. All windows have gauged brick arches
with fasciated keystones. Eaves course of triglyphs beneath a moulded
gutter with carved lion heads attached. C20 dormers. Coped gable walls
with moulded kneelers. End stacks to double span roof. Interior: C18
doors to all rooms with brass fittings on those to main rooms upstairs.
Alcove cupboards in upper rooms.
