Barn. Date stone to rear I E. Probably raised and extended to
north, in C18. Coursed rubble sandstone. Pantile roof. One and a half
storeys, 4-bays. 3 pitching windows to front. Rear: 2 boarded doors
alternate with 2 fixed-light windows with 2 pitching windows above. To
left, an upper plank door is approached by a rebuilt external staircase.
Stone lintels throughout. Coped gable walls with moulded kneelers. The
front wall of this barn forms one side of the Newby Pinfold (qv) and the
Quoits Ground (qv).
