House, formerly farmhouse with outbuilding. Early C18 with later
alteration. Coursed, squared sandstone. Pantile roof. Brick stacks.
Originally, 2-cell, direct-entry plan, later extended into outbuilding
to right and rear staircase and service outshut added. 2-storey,
4-window front. To left of centre, 4-panel door under rectangular
fanlight with glazing bars. Blocked fire window to right of centre.
3-light horizontal sliding sashes with keyed lintels throughout, except
for lower right which is 2-light with plain lintel. Inserted C20
horizontal sliding sash over door. Coped gable walls with kneelers.
1 end stack, 1 right of centre. Interior: main hearth exists in the
centre room together with spice cupboard. The stone lintel to the
parlour fireplace is concealed behind a C20 fireplace. In the centre
bedroom, inserted C20 plasterboard walling conceals the brick firehood.
Timber partitioning is retained throughout.
