Gardener's cottage, now house. 1891-93. By Walter Brierley for
Miss E Clarke. Hammer-dressed sandstone, with tiled roof. Jacobethan
style. 1½-storey, 3-bay front. Central boarded basket-arched door in
projecting single storey gabled porch. 4-light mullion window to right.
Similar 5-light window at left, canted at corner under corbelled-out corner
above. Gabled half-dormer with 3-light mullioned window under flat
dripmould to right. Moulded first floor band; overhanging bracketed eaves.
Coped gables with plain kneelers. Right of centre stack; end left exterior
stack. The cottage forms part of the former ancillary buildings to
Northcliffe House (q.v.).
