Farmhouse. c1825. Red brick in Garden Wall bond; pantile roof. 3-cell
stairhall plan, 2 rooms deep. 2-storey, 4-window front. C20 door with
overlight to right of centre. Single 4-pane sash witli stone sill to right;
two similar to left under segmental gauged brick arches. Four to first
floor which break stepped brick eaves course. End and left of centre
stacks. This farmhouse is an unaltered example of a type of which there are
four in this road forming a group known as the Bartindale Row, which were
built after the Enclosure Act of 1809 by the Osbaldestons of the Hunmanby
Estate
