5/73 Bank House (Formerly listed as
30.6.66 House opposite Muston Post Office)


Farmhouse, now house. 1738 on datestone. Rubble chalk on plinth, rendered
and colour-washed; painted raised quoins; concrete pantile roof. 3-cell,
direct-entry plan, with opposed doors and rear service range. 2-storey,
4-window front. Off-centre 6-panel door under cornice porch with slender
octagonal columns. Single l6-pane sash to right of doorway, two to left;
four similar windows to first floor. All windows have stone sills and
raised keyblocks. Square datestone in keyed architrave between first
floor windows to left, inscribed:- A N N 0. Chamfered plinth band; first
floor band. Modillion eaves course. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End
and centre stacks.
