GV II


Farmhouse. Early C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Red brick in Garden
Wall bond to front and sides; chalk to rear; pantile roof; brick stacks.
Originally 3-cell, hearth-passage plan, with rear outshut added. 1½ storey
front. C20 part-glazed door to right of centre. Ground floor windows
3-light horizontal sliding sashes . C20 flat-headed dormers to attic.
Ground floor openings have flat arches of gauged brick. Coped, tumbled
brick gables. End and centre stacks. Interior: bressummer and firehood
survive to centre room. Chamfered spine beam in room to right. Some
original beans in room to left.
