26.3.73 Primitive Methodist Chapel

GV II

Chapel, dated 1880 on plaque at first floor centre. Ashlar with Welsh slate roof.
Rusticated quoins at sides and centre. Plinth. Two storeys, five bays, arranged:
1:3:1. Centre breaks forward under pediment with keyed oculus. Round-arched
windows on first floor with architraves and keystones. Ornamented string at first
floor impost level. Pilasters with leafy capitals to ground floor outer doors,
also with keyed round architraves. Similar treatement to paired segment-headed
windows in centre. Cast iron area railings with fleur-de-lys standards.
