15/66 Manor Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Early C19. Dressed sandstone with pantile roof. Central-
stairhall plan, 2 rooms deep, with rear service wing. 2-storey, 3-window
front. C20 door in pilastered door-case with cornice, approached by stone
steps. 16-pane sashes with stone sills and heavy plain lintels throughout.
Stepped eaves course. Coped gables and kneelers carved as coils. End
stacks. Interior: open-string, dog-leg staircase with turned balusters and
newel, and moulded handrail, ramped-up; shaped tread ends. Panelled
shutters and window recesses to ground-floor front rooms. In ground-floor
front room to right is a good Art Nouveau fireplace.
