Farmhouse. Mid C18, probably incorporating earlier house; C19 alteration
and extension. Sandstone, part rubble, part tooled and part hammered;
pantile roofs. 3-cell, hearth-passage plan with added outshut. Low
2-storey, 2-window main front, with 1½-storey wing and outshut extension
at right. 4-panel passage door beneath plain lintel at left of outshut.
4-pane sashes with painted stone sills and tooled lintels to main front.
Outshut has board door beneath timber lintel and small inserted light to
right. Main front has coped gable at right and end stacks, the left one
demolished. Outshut has catslide roof with coped right gable, block
kneeler and end stack. Rear: board cross-passage door beneath tooled
lintel at right of 16-pane sash. Right return: 2-light, 16-pane
horizontal sliding sash beneath plain lintel. Interior: plain stone
fireplace with cast iron grate in room to left of cross-passage.
