ST 65 NW CLUTTON CHURCH LANE (west side)

6/16 Group of 3 Broadribb and Purnell
monuments, 1 metre east of south
aisle, Church of St. Augustine

G.V. II

3 Chest Tombs to Broadribb and Purnell families. C17 and C18 with C19
inscriptions. Limestone. 2 nearest aisle wall of simple rectangular plan with
deeply projecting slabs. The earliest of the group to the east to Broadribb
family is C17. 2 inscription panels with moulded surrounds to each side, a high
entablature with skulls at the angles and putti in the centre. Slab with cyma
recta moulding.
