Cottages

Farmhouse, now two dwellings, with attached outbuildings. Probably late
C18 with C19 alteration and C20 subdivision. Herringbone-tooled
sandstone; pantile roof, part reroofed in tiles. 2-storey, 4-window
front, the right end higher; 1-storey range set back at right. Part-
glazed door to no.1 at right in 1-storey range and C20 door to no.2 in
lower end of main front. Windows in lower end are 12-pane sashes, with
herringbone-tooled flat arch to ground floor window. Remaining windows
have bordered herringbone-tooled lintels. Windows in higher end are
4-pane sashes with bordered herringbone-tooled lintels. Stone sills to
all windows. Raised eaves band to higher end, and coped gables and
moulded kneelers. End corniced stacks to higher part, and left end stack
to lower end.
