House, early C18. Herringbone-tooled or pecked coursed sandstone; pantiled roof
with stone copings and brick stack. East (entrance) from 2 storeys and attic,
2 bays, the right bay partly concealed by part, rendered first-floor addition over
passage to sea front. Coved eaves. 6-panel door at right. 16-pane replaced sash
at left and C19 4-pane sash above. 1-storey south extension at basement level has
terrace, with parapet, above. South front 3 storeys, 2 bays, gable end
elevation. Irregular small-paned modern casements. Square kneeler at right,
curved at left. Low brick end chimney. South basement extension has boarded
door, under bracketed hood, at right, and a Yorkshire sash of 2 lights with top
transom panes; shortened fire window at left. End piers, with ball finials on
parapet above. Sea front 3 storeys, 2 bays, irregular, with boarded door at right
and similar windows. INTERIOR: panelling in bedroom which has segment-headed
corner cupboard with H-hinges. Ceiling beams moulded upstairs, chamfered below.
One early-Victorian fireplace.
