House, dated 1737 with initials H and A.F above door. Large, coursed,
herringbone-tooled sandstone; pantiled roof, brick chimney. 2 storeys, 1 wide
bay. 6-panel door, in jambs of C19 appearance, under heavy, probably original,
dated lintel partly concealed by gabled, bracketed hood. This elevation other-
wise blank. Cyma moulded eaves. Very high-pitched roof with shaped copings and
prominent curved kneelers. Left return shows a small 4-pane casement, in old
opening, and an inserted garret window. Incised rendered right return of 2
storeys, gable attic and basement, 2 bays. Basement has glazed door and small
Yorkshire sash. Other windows are 4-pane sashes.
