House, formerly 2. Early C17 with late C17 and early C18 alterations, C19 and
C20 rear extensions. Colourwashed rubble, wooden lintels with slate roof to
south wing and plain tiles to north wing, some slates to rear, dressed stone ridge.
2 storeys, 2 windows to each wing. 4-light oak ovolo mullions to ground floor.
Upper windows to south wing are 3-light C18 flat-faced mullions, north wing has
3-light oak ovolo mullions cut down with 3 rectangular panes inserted to form top
lights. Doorway with moulded architrave to south wing. Flat hood on carved
brackets, plank door with 3-light rectangular fanlight. 2 stone stacks, 1 brick
to south. Interior. Large inglenook fireplaces with stop chamfered beams in
both ground floor rooms either side of central passage. Several oak plank doors
and in ground floor right hand room fine early C17 oak dresser with 3 arched tiers
of plate racks.
