Bay (south side)
6.10.69. Eden House
House of early-mid C19 appearance but may be a remodelling of an older
building. Pecked coursed sandstone; renewed pantiled roof with stone coping and
kneeler, tile ridge, brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Off-centre
Victorian 6-panel door part glazed, with overlight, in stone surround of raised
jambs and bracketed hood. Flanking sash windows with side margins; first floor
centre window narrower with full margins; all have projecting moulded cills.
Two raking roof dormers, with similar sashes and slate cheeks, rest on the
eaves. Gable coping and curved kneeler at left. Rebuilt end chimneys.
