GV II
House, late C18. Roughly-tooled coursed sandstone with some herringbone work.
(Incised render to basement front wall; some brickwork in extension). Pantiled
roof with stone ridge, copings and kneelers, brick stacks. River front 2
storeys and basement, 2 bays, irregular. Tripartite basement window with
central opening sash. Ground floor one 16-pane sash and first floor two 12-pane
sashes, all with projecting cills. Small pent left outhouse with boarded door.
End chimneys. Right return, rising up river bank, has plinth at base. Boarded
basement door and 4-panel ground-floor door up steps alongside house. Scattered
small windows. Rear of house, towards The Bolts, seems to incorporate part of
the former wash kitchen of Bramblewick (qv).
