House and shop, mid C19. Coursed tooled sandstone; pantiled roof with stone
copings and kneelers. 3 storeys and high basement, 3 bays. In basement a wide
double shop front of C19 type, 2 and 3 lights with off-centre door. Steps with
modern handrail lead to wood balcony of house above. Central 4-panel door, the
top panels arched, and overlight in plain surround. Left 16-pane sash, right
circa 1900 canted bay with glazing bars in upper sashes, and moulded cornice.
On first floor 16-pane sashes flank 12-pane centre sash. Second floor shorter
12-pane casements flanking a 9-pane window; all have tooled lintels and
projecting cills.
