ST 55 NE EAST HARPTREE WHITECROSS ROAD (north side)

5/42 Bridge, 50 metres north of Harptree
Court

G.V. II

Ornamental bridge. Early C19. Probably by C.H. Masters of Bath. Ashlar to
balustrade, coursed and squared dressed stone to spanning arch. Rectangular
corner posts with large paterae on each face, moulded handrail and turned
balusters punctuated by plain piers to create 4 sections. Some balusters on
north side are C20 replacements.
