Robin Hood's Bay

19/171 Storm Cottage
House, early C18 refurbished in early C19. Ashlar with incised render to rear.
Pantiled roof with stone ridge, copings and kneelers, old brick stacks. 2
storeys, 2 bays, irregular. Left 4-panel door under gabled hood on shaped
brackets. Right two 12-pane sashes in wood architraves. Two similar sashes,
more widely spaced, on first floor. Jambs of earlier (probably mullioned)
windows visible on both floors. Coved eaves, prominent moulded kneelers, end
chimneys. Rear elevation, to Fisher Head, 1 storey and attic. Top-glazed
6-panel door. Tiny windows to left; right part concealed by lean-to with
boarded door in left return. Late C19 6-pane sash in off-centre raking dormer.
