3/47 Read and Ansty monuments, in
churchyard 3 and 7 metres south of
tower, Church of All Saints


Two chest tombs. Read chest tomb: late C18. Limestone with moulded panels to
each side, swagged corner pilasters, fluted entablature and slab with cyma recta
moulding. Inscriptions eroded. Ansty chest tomb: earliest date 1812.
Limestone with 2 panels facing church and one lozenge shaped panel with florid
script to churchyard. Swagged corner pilasters and draped urns to each end face.
Pulvinated frieze to slab.
