Farmhouse and byre. House 1859 dated on panel in lintel with name
L. Dale. Finely-coursed, herringbone-tooled sandstone. Pantiled
roof with stone copings, kneelers and stacks. Main front 2 storeys,
3 windows, wide proportions. 16-pane sash windows with heavy flush
lintels and projecting cills. In left return an attic light and a
fire window on ground floor. Entrance in rear elevation to farmyard:
central panelled door now enclosed in porch which forms a link to
the byre. Irregular windows to rear. Interior apparently unaltered
with 4-panel doors, panelled shutters, moulded cornices and ceiling
rose; and a marbled chimneypiece (possibly on marble) with arched
iron fireplace.

Byre dated L. Dale 1867. One storey with basement at west end
where land slopes down. 6 irregular bays. 2 Dutch doors, a plain
boarded door at right and 2 small-windows. 2 loft doors; and 2
blocked chutes at basement level on left. Openings have heavy
lintels, mostly slightly shouldered, and rebates for doors.
