7/53 Brookside Farmhouse

Farmhouse, late C17 or early C18. Coursed rubble; Welsh slate roof
(probably originally thatched) with stone copings and kneelers.
2 storeys, 2 windows. Big plinth. Small C20 leaded casements,
those on first floor just breaking eaves. Small fire window at
right. High-pitched roof with end chimneys. Door in right return.
Early rear extension. Chamfered beams and joists in one ground-
floor room and half of the other. This house is the house part of
a former longhouse whose cross-passage and byre have been removed
from the right end.
