2/73 White Cross
6/10/69 (north)


Guide cross, possibly early C19 replacement of earlier cross, of
which upper part is in Whitby museum. Sandstone. Square socket
stone about 1 foot high. Square shaft about 3 feet tall with
diagonal tooling, margins and no batter. Flat top. Rough crosses
incised on north and south sides.
