C18 or early C19 origins, later C19 alterations. 2 storeys in ashlar to front,
1 side in brick and 1 in coursed rubble. Welsh slate roof with stone coped gable
ends with kneelers. 5 brick stacks. 7 windows, blocked or with broken hung
sashes with glazing bars, incised keystones to stone lintels, except for centre
which has narrower lintel. 5 similar windows to ground floor and door with incised
keystone to lintel, rectangular fanlight. 1 window with narrower lintel. Stone
eaves cornice. Rear elevation has staircase window. Undergoing alterations at
time of survey (August 1974).
Nos 1 and 2 and premises formerly occupied by John Hague form a group with the
Rose Inn, Nos 5 to 8 (consec) and the Masonic Hall.
