ST 55 NE HINTON BLEWETT

5/85 The Old Rectory

G.V. II

Detached house, former rectory. Possible C17 core with C18 and 1803 alterations
and additions. Rubble, render to gable ends and rear walls, some brick dressings,
wooden lintels and pantile roofs with stone copings and ridges. Tall north east
facade facing village green of 3 storeys, 2 windows. Left hand windows are 1803
elongated 28-pane sashes. Right hand ground floor window is a 16-pane casement
and above are two 16-pane sashes. Several brick stacks. Rear 2 storey range
has several C18 six pane sashes and one early C18 eighteen pane sash. South east
front has a 6 panel C19 door with patterned semi-circular fanlight.
