8/14 Post Office


House and Post Office. Late C18 with C19 alterations. Hammer-dressed
limestone; pantile roof; brick stacks. Central stairhall plan, 1½ rooms
deep. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-window front. Irregular quoins. Central C20
half-glazed door. 4-pane sashes with stone sills throughout. Painted,
keyed, wedge lintels to all openings. Cavetto-moulded eaves cornice. Coped
gables, kneelers and end stacks.
