Marker at White Rose Cottage


Turnpike Parish Boundary Marker. Dated 1823. Cast iron post 0.5 metres high with
bevelled sides and coved top. Lettering: 'TE/W.HART/PH' (West Harptree Parish) to
left-hand side, 'NN/C.MART/PH' (Compton Martin Parish) to right-hand; 'BRISTOL
TURNPIKE TRUST' down centre spine.
