Public house, now estate office for Birdsall Estate. Early C19. Limestone
ashlar with herringbone tooling, Welsh slate roof. Central entry with 2
side wings. 2 storeys, 5 bays, the outer 2 being lower side wings, set back
slightly. Plinth. Steps to 6-fielded-panel door beneath radial fanlight
flanked by tripartite sashes with glazing bars under relieving arches. Fire
insurance sign above door. Round-headed sashes with glazing bars and radial
glazing in the heads to side wings. Band to central section. First floor:
sashes with glazing bars to central section. Unequal 9-pane sashes to side
wings. Cyma-moulded cornice. Hipped roof with stacks rising through pitch
of roof to central section. Hipped roofs to side wings.
