Stable block. 1770's. Brick in Flemish bond, Westmorland slate roof.
Stables, barns and accommodation arranged round central square yard. 2
storeys, 7 bays with central pedimented bay breaking forward. Former
entrance, now blocked, with Tuscan portico containing 4-panel door flanked
by fixed windows. Sashes with glazing bars to outer bays and band above.
First floor: oculus with small fixed window above in open pediment of
central bay, with 6-pane fixed windows to outer bays. Dentilled eaves
course. Hipped roof with taller central section with pyramidal roof
surmounted by clock tower with lantern and cupola. South front has similar
features but less elaborate central bay with re-sited datestone over
carriage arch reads 1676 and re-sited sundial in pediment dated 1750.
