GV II

House. c1874. By G E Street for Sir Tatton Sykes. Brick in English bond
with ashlar dressings, plain tile roof. Jacobethan style. Central entry
with a pair of cross wings to rear. 2 storeys, one first-floor window.
Recessed porch with pointed arch containing board door in glazed surround.
Single-light window to left. 3-light mullion window beneath relieving arch
to right. First-floor band. Half-dormer in gablet to first floor. Gable
coping. Decorative ridge tiles. Tall chimneys to rear. Included for group
value. Pevsner N, Yorkshire, York and the East Riding, 1972.
