11/85 Moorside Cottage
GV II
House and byre, now house. Late C18 with C19 and C20 alteration. Squared
sandstone with pantile roof and brick stacks, one rendered. Central-entry
house later extended into altered byre to right. 2-storey, 2-window front
with 2-storey, 2-window extension to right. 4-panel door to left front with
4-pane sashes throughout. Stone sills to all windows and timber lintels to
all openings. Openings to right front are C20 alterations on ground floor,
and large-pane horizontal-sliding sashes to first floor. Coped gables,
kneelers and end stacks to left front. Included for group value.
