GV II

House. Late C18 with earlier origins; C20 alteration. Dressed sandstone to
front and left side; coursed rubble sandstone to rear and right side;
roughly squared footings. Dressed limestone quoins. Pantile roof. Glazed
porch. 3-cell, hearth-passage plan. 2-storey, 3-window front, gable end on
street. Half-glazed door beneath overlight to right of centre, within
porch. Windows to right are 2-light, large-pane casements, those to left 3-
light, large-pane horizontal sliding sashes. Timber lintels to all windows.
Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End and right of centre stacks.
Interior: end left room has chamfered spine beam; both rooms to left of
cross-passage have chamfered square section joists. In room to right,
earlier, roughly cut joists survive.
