7/50 Pyramid in Pretty Wood
Pyramid. Before 1727. By Nicholas Hawksmoor for Charles Howard, 3rd Earl
of Carlisle. Limestone. Approximately 8 metres in height. Square plinth
carries rusticated base with cyma reversa frieze. Rusticated pyramid.
Appears on estate map of 1727. In a derelict condition at time of resurvey.

Part 32, North Yorkshire: Castle Howard, Grade I.
