Kylix and the pedestal on which it stands. Early C19. From designs by
C H Tatham. Sandstone. Approximately 3 metres in height. One step to
pedestal with moulded base, sunk panels with waterleaf borders and
quadripartite acanthus motif to centre. Bead and ovolo frieze with egg-and-
dart moulded cornice. Fluted kylix with lipped rim. Included for gr up
value. HBMC, Register of Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in
England, Part 32, North Yorkshire: Castle Howard, Grade I.
