House. Mid-late C17. Limestone rubble brought to course, pantile roof.
Baffle entry with 2 cross wings. 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows with
gables to each end. 6-fielded-panel door with 3-light Yorkshire sash to
left and two 16-pane sashes to right. First floor: 3-light Yorkshire sash
to left, blocked window over door and 16-pane sashes to right. Sprocketed
eaves. Ridge stack and right end stack at eaves level. Interior: inglenook
fireplace to left reception room, with massive bressumer and fire window.
Right reception room has blocked inglenook with blocked former fire window
visible in cupboard to right. The staircase into the roof space is a later
insertion and has polygonal finials to newels. The roofs of the south wing
and main range of principal trusses with paired purlins trenched into the
backs of the principal rafters, and a ridge pole. The roof of the north
wing is very makeshift with a rough king post to the central truss. North
