Farmhouse. C18, extended and altered in early C19; further C20 alteration.
C18 part of squared sandstone, raised in red brick; C19 extension in red
brick in English garden wall bond. Pantile roof with brick stacks.
2-storey, 5-window C18 house, with quoins; 2-storey, 3-window C19 extension
at left. C18 front has left-of-centre part-glazed and panelled door beneath
blocked radial fanlight: doorcase of fluted attached columns with cornice
hood on paired consoles. Inserted flat-topped bows with 12-pane sashes in
fluted frames with angle paterae flank door. Small 8-pane sash inserted at
first floor centre; remaining first floor windows 12-pane sashes, all with
flat arches and stone sills. C19 front has 12-pane sashes on both floors,
with stone sills and painted timber lintels. Raised eaves band. Coped
gables and shaped kneelers. End, centre left and left-of-centre stacks.
Rear: central 6-panel door in doorcase of reeded pilasters and cornice hood.
Gothick-glazed Venetian window inserted at left end.
