1/26 Dovecote, in garden of
Ganthorpe House,
approximately 20 metres
north of house

GV II

Dovecote. C18 or earlier. Hammer dressed sandstone, Westmorland
slate roof. Rectangular on plan with walls approximately one metre thick.
Stable door beneath wooden lintel to left. Much worn opening for birds in
southern end beneath eaves course. flipped roof. Divided internally into
2 storeys with nesting boxes on first floor.
