Farmhouse. Mid C18, with later alteration. Herringbone-tooled limestone and pantile roof. Central staircase plan, one room deep, with rear service wing. Two storey, symmetrical three window front. Central four-panel door with divided overlight. Four-pane sashes with stone sills throughout. Tripartite keyed lintels to all openings. Raised first floor band. Cavetto moulded eaves cornice. Coped gables, shaped kneelers and end stacks to steeply-pitched roof.

Interior: original raised and fielded wall panelling of the highest quality, panelled doors and brass door fittings survive in excellent condition throughout the house, including the attic. In ground floor room to right, a moulded bressumer with shelf remains, with alcove cupboards on either side. In first floor room to right the firehood survives. Closed string dogleg stair, with moulded handrail and turned balusters enclosed in panelled plank and muntin partition walls. The ground and first floor rooms to left have raised and fielded panelled overmantels, both flanked by alcove cupboards with panelled doors on H-L hinges. In the attic a pair of collared crucks have been re-used to form the central roof truss, and rafters are inscribed with Roman numerals. The remarkable panelled fittings of this house have survived the passage of time never having been painted only lightly waxed.
