Circa 1820 terrace of lodging houses. 3 storeys and semi-basements; Nos 2 and 4-6
with dormers. 2 windows each (No 6 double fronted with 3 windows). Slated roofs.
Grit stone ashlar with cornices; Nos 2-5 with bracketed cornices; Nos 2 and 3
with secondary bracketed cornice at 2nd floor level. Recessed sash windows;
Nos 6-9 with architraves; Nos 2, 3, 7 and 9 with splayed bays rising through
ground and 1st floors. Good wooden doorcases with attached Doric columns or
pilasters (No 6, Ionic columns) carrying entablatures with fanlights and French
windows approached by steps with wrought iron railings; No 3 with modern entrance
to Grange Hotel. Included for group value.

Nos 2 to 9 (consec) form a group.
