G.V. II

House. Early C19 with some alterations and additions. Limestone ashlar, hipped
slate roof on bracketted eaves, ashlar stacks, one pair linked by arch to west,
rendered to sides and rear. 2 storeys and 3 windows, all sashes with thin glazing
bars set in over-arches and with external shutters except first floor central
window, central half-glazed door with side lights in round-headed opening with
plain fanlight and keystone, Doric portico with cornice and blocking course;
plinth, ground floor rusticated to each side of window, draped swag over arrow
above ground floor windows, band course at first floor cills. Left return has
3 windows, smaller in central bay, all with external shutters except 2 at ground
floor left, quoin strips, cellar light. Lower 2-storey rear wing has ground
floor 2-light casement with segmental head and door with overlight, two 9-pane
sashes at first floor, parapet and coping; right return as left, without
shutters, has cellar light with segmental head to left. Rear has single storey
flat-roofed addition in angle with rear wing, door and 6-pane sash to side, round-
headed sash with splayed glazing bars above, 4-pane light at ground floor left and
smaller sash above; inner side of rear wing has two 9-pane sashes at first floor,
ground floor two 2-light casements and larger 9-pane sash, rear of wing has similar
first floor sash. Interior: not inspected.
