No 22

C18 or earlier. Probably timber-framed. White-washed brick front. Pantiled roof,
catslide to rear. Two storeys. Brick band. Two Yorkshire casements with glazing
bars on first floor, one on ground floor. Two shopfronts, of which one to north is
late C19 and has moulded plaster ornament to capitals, and 2 unusual plaster bar-
reliefs set into lower panels of door, both depicting classical scenes in a fin-de-
siecle manner.
